Every morning, starting on the first day of kindergarten, my mother would write a motivational quote on a post-it note to help start my day on the right note. She did this until I graduated high school and I’ve kept every single one and put them in a scrapbook. I figured being off at college, away from her, I wouldn’t receive any quotes. Until she texted me right before the start of class with a brand new one.
